It's Oppa Choppa Style...
Worldwide economic is not doing well...When a company doesn't make any profit, the top management will start to look into the operating cost and come out a series of cost reduction program. Bottom line, they want to turn around the situation and make profit...Yes, just one word: 'Profit'!
When economic is going downturn, semiconductor industry always be the pioneer to drive the so called "cost reduction program". Well, I rather to call it as "Oppa Choppa Style"! Yes, it's the chop season in semiconductor industry now.
Texas Instruments has announced it will lay off 1,700 workers...It means 1,700 people from the mobile processor business is going to be jobless...
Freescale also announced laying off to keep up the market challenge. However, it did not disclosed the number of employees affected. Chop, chop and chop season has began...

ON Semiconductor has announced it will cut 250 jobs and cancel its cash incentive program for senior executive.

STATS ChipPAC Malaysia also announced MSS, Mutual Separation Scheme. Hopefully this "Oppa Choppa Style" is not like the "Oppa Gangnam Style", spread around every corner of the world...

Budget 2013 = Nasi Lemak?
2013年财政预算案出炉啦...先撇开这到底是不是个＂派糖果＂大选预算案，让我们看看有哪些重点（糖果）能够让我们打工一族真正收益的：
1. 个人可征税收入介于RM2500至RM50,000者，可减免个人所
得税1%。
中产阶级：没错，这能让我省下RM475。 一年有365天，
RM475/365天 = RM1.30/天。每天有RM1.30，买包杂饭都
不够啦！要买包没料的 nasi lemak 也难...
2. 月入RM3000或以下的家庭，可获RM500现金；21岁以上，
月入RM2000或以下的单身者，可获得RM250现金。
中产阶级：城市里的两夫妻都得工作，薪金一定过
RM3000的啦。要不然就得吃草了..我们这种＂不上不下＂
的人，最亏本的啦！
3. 购书券的价值从RM200增至RM250；所有中六生和大专生都

Online survey to earn money or vouchers
To make money through internet is no longer a mission impossible. Below are some of the online survey company that allow you to earn some pocket money or redeem vouchers with high frequency on survey availability:
1. MySurvey
Points will be credited to you account upon completion of answering a survey. The amount of the points depend on the survey length, it could be range from 30 to 120 points. The best part is you will get 5 points even though you are not qualify for the survey!
You can spend your points at MySurvey to redeem vouchers from Jusco, KFC/Pizza Hut/Ayamas, MPH Bookstores, McDonalds, Rixty, Isetan and Parkson.
250 points = RM10 voucher
2. AIP Online Surveys
AIP allow you to earn points by answering a survey. The points are range from 70 to 320, it depends on the survey length. In addition, you will get 10 points even though you are not qualify for the survey!
You can spend your points at AIP to redeem vouchers from KFC, McDonalds, Giant, Hotlink Prepaid Card, Xpax Prepaid Card, Digi Prepaid Card and Petronas.
2000 points = RM20 voucher
3. Valued Opinions
Instead of giving you the points, they let you know upfront what is the cash amount (typically RM2 - RM7) you are going to earn by answering the survey. However, they don't allow you to cash out but only allow you to redeem the vouchers from KFC/Pizza Hut and Jusco.
No points will be credited if you are not qualify for the survey. In addition, you only allow to redeem when your earning amount is > RM30.
4. Global Test Market
Many people like Global Test Market because it allows you to cash out the money in USD instead of vouchers. Yes, you are right! They give you cash in USD, not voucher! Points will be credited to you account upon completion of answering a survey, whereby 5 points will be awarded to you even though you are not qualify for the survey!

1 Utama 匪徒企图干案 勇敢保安击破！

Robbery In One Utama Car Park!!!
It happened on 16 Jul'12 around 10pm in One Utama Shopping Center, Old Wing LG Floor Car Park. An old man being attacked and robbed...
The Curve, MidValley and now One Utama...May I know what is the next?
Can our police do something?

马来西亚，安全吗？
近来的治安，好像越来越差了...还是从来都没有好过？
最先在 Damansara The Curve，一名年轻少女差一点就在停车场就被绑架了...幸好她一路上都保持冷静，并抱握唯一的机会，机警的逃过一劫！要不然的话，后果会是不堪设想！
相差不到两个星期，同样的事情就发生在 Star Hill ...也是在停车场，一名年轻少妇被攻击，甚至被打成重伤！幸好有两位好心人士拔刀相住，要不然更可怕的事情也许会发生...
另外一个 case 就在 MidValley，一名妇女也是在停车场被攻击！庆幸的是她高声叫喊，把坏人给吓跑!
The Curve, Star Hill, MidValley, 这些都是我们常去的地方... 有一家大小的，男女老少的，夫妻情侣的... 现在都已经不安全了...
平民百姓的我们，能做些什么呢？难道真的要如MY FM的林德荣，Jeff陈浩然与颜薇恩所说的，自己就得小心一点咯？
我们纳税人的基本权益在哪里呢？我们纳税人的基本保障在哪里呢？我不懂...

Hybrid vs. Non-Hybrid
Hybrid
car is very hot and popular in Malaysia recently. Honda launched its hybrid
model: Insight, CRZ and the recent one - Jazz. Toyota also just launched Prius C,
an economic version of Prius.
Hybrid car is minimizing the CO2 emissions and the most important part: It deliver remarkable fuel efficiency without compromising the performance.
Anyway, how efficient is the hybrid car on the petrol cost? Please see below for the comparison (my actual data collection):
I was driving a Nissan X’Trail in year 2010.
The average cost (RM/km) spent in a
month with 3168km is about RM0.168/km.
Let’s see the Toyota Prius.
The
average cost (RM/km) spent in a month with 3015km is only RM0.082/km.
Wow, 50% reduction in petrol cost. Isn't this cool?

马来西亚有英雄吗？有，当然有！
他们没有超人的本领，没有所谓的神奇力量，也没有刀枪不入的功夫...他们只是和我们一样，普通人一个...奇怪，那他们怎么称得上是英雄呢？
没错，他们有的正是本来我们该有的勇气...
这股勇气，并不是拿来做奸犯科...
这股勇气，并不是拿来为非做歹...
这股勇气，是拿来表达我们的心声！这本来就是我们应有的权利！
也许，我们并不是所谓的大英雄...也许，我们只是普通的市民...
